  1. This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like ‘Mixview’ that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you’re listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of “neighbors” will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune “Social” is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.

  2. I’ll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)

  3. The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod’s. It works well, but isn’t as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that’s not an issue, but if you’re planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod’s larger screen and better browser may be important.

  4. If you’re still on the fence: grab your favorite earphones, head down to a Best Buy and ask to plug them into a Zune then an iPod and see which one sounds better to you, and which interface makes you smile more. Then you’ll know which is right for you.

  5. Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.

  6. Zune and iPod: Most people compare the Zune to the Touch, but after seeing how slim and surprisingly small and light it is, I consider it to be a rather unique hybrid that combines qualities of both the Touch and the Nano. It’s very colorful and lovely OLED screen is slightly smaller than the touch screen, but the player itself feels quite a bit smaller and lighter. It weighs about 2/3 as much, and is noticeably smaller in width and height, while being just a hair thicker.

  9. Between me and my husband we’ve owned more MP3 players over the years than I can count, including Sansas, iRivers, iPods (classic & touch), the Ibiza Rhapsody, etc. But, the last few years I’ve settled down to one line of players. Why? Because I was happy to discover how well-designed and fun to use the underappreciated (and widely mocked) Zunes are.

  10. Apple now has Rhapsody as an app, which is a great start, but it is currently hampered by the inability to store locally on your iPod, and has a dismal 64kbps bit rate. If this changes, then it will somewhat negate this advantage for the Zune, but the 10 songs per month will still be a big plus in Zune Pass’ favor.

  14. This is a new list for today. I’m sorry about the last two lists. You may find some proxies not working the way they should. There was also duplicates in the list. I’m still learning about free public proxies. I hope you can make good use out of this list.

  18. I have seen lots of useful items on your web-site about pcs. However, I have the thoughts and opinions that laptop computers are still more or less not powerful enough to be a good option if you generally do tasks that require many power, for instance video enhancing. But for world wide web surfing, statement processing, and a lot other frequent computer work they are fine, provided you do not mind your little friend screen size. Thank you for sharing your opinions.

  19. Thanks for helping me to obtain new tips about desktops. I also have the belief that certain of the best ways to help keep your laptop computer in primary condition is with a hard plastic material case, or perhaps shell, that matches over the top of your computer. A lot of these protective gear tend to be model specific since they are manufactured to fit perfectly in the natural outer shell. You can buy all of them directly from the seller, or via third party sources if they are designed for your notebook computer, however not all laptop may have a cover on the market. Once again, thanks for your ideas.

  20. I have realized some new elements from your internet site about desktops. Another thing I have always thought is that computer systems have become something that each house must have for many people reasons. They offer convenient ways to organize households, pay bills, search for information, study, pay attention to music and also watch tv programs. An innovative approach to complete most of these tasks is with a computer. These pcs are mobile ones, small, highly effective and portable.

  21. Great blog post. What I would like to bring about is that personal computer memory is required to be purchased should your computer can no longer cope with what you do by using it. One can put in two good old ram boards having 1GB each, by way of example, but not one of 1GB and one having 2GB. One should look for the maker’s documentation for one’s PC to make certain what type of memory is necessary.

  22. Interesting blog post. The things i would like to contribute is that computer system memory must be purchased should your computer still cannot cope with what you do by using it. One can install two good old ram boards with 1GB each, for instance, but not certainly one of 1GB and one of 2GB. One should check the manufacturer’s documentation for the PC to make certain what type of storage it can take.

  23. One thing I would like to say is always that before buying more laptop memory, take a look at the machine within which it could be installed. If your machine is definitely running Windows XP, for instance, the memory ceiling is 3.25GB. Using above this would simply constitute any waste. Be sure that one’s mother board can handle your upgrade volume, as well. Interesting blog post.

  24. The things i have seen in terms of computer system memory is that there are requirements such as SDRAM, DDR or anything else, that must match up the features of the motherboard. If the pc’s motherboard is rather current and there are no operating system issues, changing the memory literally normally takes under a couple of hours. It’s among the easiest pc upgrade treatments one can visualize. Thanks for giving your ideas.

  25. A few things i have observed in terms of computer system memory is that often there are specifications such as SDRAM, DDR and the like, that must go with the specs of the motherboard. If the pc’s motherboard is very current and there are no operating system issues, replacing the ram literally takes under an hour or so. It’s on the list of easiest laptop or computer upgrade processes one can envision. Thanks for discussing your ideas.

  26. Thanks for your blog post. What I would like to bring up is that laptop or computer memory is required to be purchased if your computer still cannot cope with anything you do along with it. One can mount two good old ram boards containing 1GB each, by way of example, but not certainly one of 1GB and one of 2GB. One should always check the car maker’s documentation for own PC to be certain what type of storage it can take.
